Welcome

My name is Casey Jane Satterlund and I’m an author and illustrator from San Jose, California. Before becoming an illustrator, I was in education; teaching art to four year olds and helping teenagers produce zines. My art is influenced by my love of travel, vintage video games, and fairytales. Look for motifs of keys, acorns, and potion bottles in my work.

When I’m working, chances are my daughter is on my lap and we have a movie on (The Birdcage is in heavy rotation because we both love the costumes). When I’m not working, you might find me hanging prisms in the window, or helping my kid collect beautiful rocks, sticks, or leaves.
